(WJBK) - Chef Godwin Ihentuge is bringing the flavors of West Africa and the Caribbean to Detroit. He has a pop-up food truck and catering business called Yum Village. In February, Yum Village plans to open a brick and mortar restaurant in Detroit.

“One of the biggest things is we’re really catered towards community," he said. "I’m using Michigan products to make West African and Caribbean food. I am still going through that labor of love that you put into good food. And then I’m making it accessible to Detroit. You can get chicken and rice — halal meat — and vegan sides for like 9 bucks.”
